Lê Summer Edit 2019 Ft. Fenty Beauty, Becca Cosmetics & Miniso

Hello beauty fam! Sorry for not posting last week. I’m back at uni so it’s been a tad hectic. But it’s also perfect timing because summer is ending for us Aussie’s which means I’m going to review all the products I loved over the summer.

Fenty Beauty Pro Filt’r Soft Matte Longwear Foundation

This got to be my favourite matte foundation since I tried the Hourglass Immaculate Foundation which I tried years ago! This is a really light weight, yet full coverage foundation. It leaves you with a soft matte finish that’s still natural. You could leave it and wear it on it’s own if you have drier skin. Otherwise if you’re a little oily like me, you could set it with some setting powder and it will last you all day long! I wear the shade 120 which appears a little too light at first but it settles down to my perfect shade. So you might want to try some sample of different shades to see how the colour sets on you. It lasts all day on me, even in the scorching heat. My only complaint is that it doesn’t really withstand heat so I’d recommend going in with a light layer in areas where you might sweat more.

L’Oreal Pro Glow 24hr Foundation

This is definitely my favourite drug store foundation in a really long time. I think the one I liked before this was the L’Oreal 24 hr Matte Foundation but it’s been a really long time since I used that foundation. And I think the Pro Glow formula is way better. First off I love how thin and fluid the texture is. It makes it really easy to blend out and it feels like nothing on the skin. It is really dewy though, so definitely set this foundation with a powder, otherwise it’s gonna crease everywhere. But like the Fenty Beauty one, it’s been perfect for the summer time because it feels so thin on the skin and it really does give you that little bit of luminosity to make you look healthy and radiant.

BECCA Shimmering Skin Perfector

I freaking love this highlight. When I first got it I wasn’t sure if it was going to be too dark or too golden or too pink. But turns out, it is absolutely perfect for me. Now I’ve tried the regular Shimmering Skin Perfectors and they’re alright, didn’t love them. But this is the Limited Edition Shimmering Skin Perfector in Gradient Glow. In the compact has  five Shimmering Skin Perfector’s in Bronzed Amber, Moonstone, Opal, Rose Gold, and Topaz. and my god, it’s beautiful. It makes my skin look extra dewy and glowy and just healthy all over. It is limited edition but it is on sale at Sephora right now so get on it!!!

Colourpop’s Double Entendre Eyeshadow Palette

When I first got this I didn’t use it much. I felt the shades were a little too warm, too much on the orange-y side. But then I decided to give it another go and realised that I love this palette! I don’t really use that orange shade but I do use the other shimmery shades. I especially love the darker brown and burgundy shades to deepen the outer corner of my eyes. And for those of you who are still in the autumn/winter season, this is a beautiful palette to warm up those eyes and match with those seasonal autumn colours!

Miniso 3C Eyeshadow Palette

These were recommended to me by my friend Joanna (Joanna if you’re reading…HEY GURL!) and she was raving about amazing these eyeshadows are considering they’re only $4AUD! So I bought them a while back and I’ve been using them a lot lately! These are metallic finish shades which means they’re super shimmery and kind of reflective. I really really like them. I especially really like using the purple shade for the lid and then using the darker brown shades for the outer corner. If you have a Miniso somewhere near you, definitely give their shop a visit! Hopefully I’ll be able to try more of their makeup and skincare products!

Essence Holo Rainbow Nail Polish

Simplenailogical on youtube has taken over my life! I’ve been watching her videos on repeat because she’s so darn entertaining, hilarious and so smart (she does experiments and shit on in videos…go watch it’s so addicting). But anyway because of her, I am a holosexual and have started my holo nail polish collection with this Holo Rainbow Nail Polish from Essence. It’s a beautiful ocean blue polish with holographic glitters scattered throughout. And it looks so beautiful omg. If it’s not under direct light, it looks a little dull and just like any other regular blue polish. But under direct light, YOU CAN SEE ALL THE HOLO GLITTERS AND IT’S SO BEAUTIFUL AND SPARKLY!!! And it’s like $6AUD, get it on people!

Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Top Coat

I’ve been really into doing my nails lately, which means I’ve gotten pretty familiar with what makes a good nail polish and what makes a good top coat to ensure the longevity of my mani. My favourite top coat is the Insta-Dri from Sally Hansen. This stuff dries so quick, within a minute it’s dry to the touch and if you wait a bit more it’s like 100% dry. I get really impatient with painting my nails so it’s really important to me that I have a top coat that’s reliable and dries super fast! It also prevents my colour from chipping and looking shit so I love this stuff, highly recommend!

And that’s everything!! I might do more nail related blog posts coz I’m getting really into doing my nails!! Let me know what you’ve been loving the past season and also comment some good nail polishes you think I should check out! Thanks for reading and I’ll see you all next week~! xx

  1. Ahh finally someone who is talking about Miniso! I kind of regret not buying more things… I noticed this store in China whilst I was on vacation and never heard of it so I got an eyelash curler and two eyebrow pencil products. So inexpensive!! But look more expensive than the price. I’ve yet to open them but I hope they’re good! Does that mean there’s a Minis near you then? If so, I’m very jealous!

  2. So many amazing products in this post! I didn’t know that Becca had a limited edition highlighter with a mix of all colors??!?! I think I would like this special edition item much better than the original! I bought the shade Opal. It’s beautiful, but not warm enough for my skin tone so I end up using it as a really expensive brow bone highlighter or along my tear ducts. Great post!
