Colourpop Haul #4 (I’m addicted I know, send help) Ft. Luster Dust, Eyeshadow Palettes & Precision Brow Pencil

Welcome to 2018 beauty fam! I hope you all had an awesome Christmas and New Year. I was going to do a 2017 favourites this week but then I received my latest Colourpop order so I thought “f*ck it, I wanna write about my new goodies!!!” so let’s get right into it.

Loose Highlighter & Super Shock Highlighter

So I already have one of Colourpop’s Super Shock Highlighers in “Smoke N Whistles” and if I am completely honest, I don’t really use it that much. I really like the formula but I think the colour is a tad too light for my liking. Lately I’ve been watching a lot of Colourpop’s instastories and Sharon (@immbunny) from Colourpop has this killer highlight on her face called Off Tropic so I bought that and “Lunch Money” because I also really like Thu (@thuvnn) and she uses that shade. So far I’ve only used “Off Tropic” and gawddamn that highlight is a seriously opaque, blinding highlight! I use a fan brush to apply on my nose bridge, cupid’s bow, chin and cheek bones (and maybe a lil bit on the forehead…just a lil bit!). I was also really intrigued with the new Luster Dust Loose Highlighters. I picked up the shade “Gnomie“. I haven’t used it on my face yet, just swatched it and I can say it’s somewhat of a chunky highlight. It’s got some bigger pigments in there. And when I swatched it I found that it left me with a very dispersed look in the highlight, not like the Super Shock Highlighters. I’ll be trying this out and will be reporting back!

Swatched the highlighters on my arm and took the photo with the Samsung Galaxy S8+. (T-B): Off Tropic, Lunch Money, Gnomie.

Pressed Powder Shadow Palettes & Super Shock Eyeshadows

Pressed Powder Shadow palette in “Double Entendre”
Pressed Powder Shadow palette in “Take Me Home”
Super Shock Shadow palette in “Polite AF”

It’s no question how much I enjoy using my Colourpop eyeshadow palettes. They’re amazing quality for the price and with so many colours, I really get to play around with different looks! This time around I got two Pressed Powder Shadow palettes. First is “Double Entendre“, a really beautiful yet simple neutral palette. It definitely leans on the warmer side so if you prefer cool toned eyeshadows, skip this palette. Otherwise I would totally recommend this as a starting palette from Colourpop. If you haven’t gotten a palette from them before, start with this one. It has a bunch of really wearable colours that can easily take you from day to night. Second palette I bought is “Take Me Home“. So if “Double Entendre” is still too much for you, then pick up this super cute palette! It is so adorable!! It’s about the same size as the Urban Decay Naked eyeshadow palettes, or like the iPhone 5. It’s a tiny palette but it’s got 6 shades in there that is perfect to get you started with your makeup collection. Lastly, I bought the “Polite AF” Super Shock Shadow set. This one has a bunch of metalic-y and glitter-y shadows AND THEY’RE SOO PRETTY OMG. Plus these shadows last forever on the eyes, don’t even need a primer!

(L-R): Locked & Loaded, Uninhibited, Hot Bod, Flasher, Nekkid, Extra Curricular, Hard, Draft, Keep it PG, Nip Slip, Send Noodles, Teddy Bare
(L-R): Issues, Side Tracked, French Kiss, Salt Water, Popular Demand, Bitter Bette
(L-R): Deep Dive, Drift, Birthday Girl, Birthday Cake, Stereo, Sequin

Precision Brow Pencil & Lippie Stix

So I’ve tried Colourpop’s version of the brow pomade and I love it, it’s better than the Chi Chi one and I’m sure it’s comparable to the ABH one. But recently I’ve been really enjoying the more natural brow look so I’ve been using my Etude House Brow Pencil. However I have now run out of my Etude House pencil so luckily!!! the “Precision Brow Pencil” arrived in the mail just in time. First off this is a tiny ass pencil. Like really really tiny. And I’m use to an average sized pencil so I found it a bit challenging to use. It’s super pigmented and filled in my brows really really well. I used it earlier today and it lasted all day. I just wish the pencil was a bit thicker. I personally prefer the wedge shaped pencils like Etude House or Hourglass, I find that to be easier to use. With this I have to go in with more strokes and work a little more to get the brow shape I want. I also found the thin pencil to be difficult to control but I’m sure with practise I’ll get use to it.

(L-R): Goal Digger, Parker, Brink, Black N Brown (brow pencil)

I also stocked up on my favourite Lippie Stix in “Brink“. This is favourite everyday lipstick, it’s the perfect shade of peachy-pink that isn’t too overpowering. I also picked up “Parker” which is really nice nude shade. And lastly I picked you “Goal Digger” and it’s a really pretty dark pink shade that I think will look really nice for spring!

And that’s everything! Decided to keep it short n sweet since I’m always talking about Colourpop. I hope you guys liked my haul, lemme know what you like from Colourpop, I’d love to read about it in the comments. Stayed tuned for my 2017 favourites for next week~!! xx
